The Land: A Camping Experience

Enjoy the outdoors with a little extra. Organic. Affordable. Simple.

"The Land: A Camping Experience" is located in Blair, Oklahoma. This outdoor, rustic campground exists to allow you to enjoy God’s creation. The Land enables small groups to have a camping experience with a few modern conveniences such as electricity, showers, toilet facilities and cooking amenimeties.  It is an incredible star-gazing haven that will take your breath away or a great place to enjoy an outdoor movie!  The pond offers fishing or simply feeding the catfish as they follow you around the pond, begging for more! It is peaceful on The Land! Come enjoy nature and getting back to the basics..(with a few modern-day facilities that make it more fun)!

The Land has hosted:

Youth groups & Church fellowships

Father/Son Outings

Leadership group building forums
Dangerous Men’s Fellowships
Oasis for ministers

Alaska Project

The Newton Foundation has partnered with Lance and Corina Kramer in Kotzebue, Alaska and W.I.T.H. Ministries  to reach Alaska's native youth with a summer youth camp. The summer of 2009 was the first run of the camp. Many students came and got to experience the love of Christ and His people. It was a great time of making contacts and learning about the culture of Alaska. In 2010, Freedom Camp had a few more native teens attend and many return students from 2009. We are very encouraged by this increase. We had approximately 18 salvations & about a dozen baptisms in the sea. Katigvik Freedom Camp 3 of 2011, had yet a different look. The camp was held up the Noatak River in the wilderness of the Arctic Circle. We had mission teams come and actually build the camp, ie, setting up wall tents, cooking facilities, meeting tent & forging a path about 200 yds. from the Noatak to a clearing for camp. Due to limited sleeping space, the camp was limited to high school students only. We had 52 students come to camp. We had 14 salvations! One of the greatest joys has been to watch our "repeat" students grow and mature in the Lord. Details for Freedom Camp 2012 will posted as we gain information. Please send any inquiries through the form on this website.

UPDATE 1/10/2012:

Zane & Kandy will be flying to Kotzebue, AK on Monday, Jan.16 to meet with Lance & Corina Kramer and make plans for the Alaskan mission work this summer!  Please pray for safety in the flight. Also, the temperatures right now have been -30 degrees and more. Wind chills have been -60 degrees+!  Pray for WARMTH!  And pray for direction  and clarity during this time of meeting.  Details will be posted upon our return.

Prayer Experience

We believe in the power of prayer. Imagine having a room devoted to prayer leading up to or during one of your events where students, sponsors, anyone can come and go to the Lord in prayer. Imagine the mighty movements of God that will be experienced because of all the people that have been praying!

During the prayer room experience, people will be led through different stations, be given different prayer directions including your specific event's needs. It can  come and go or stay as long as you like. We would love to coach your people in this innovative idea OR come set up a prayer room for your ministry!

Ministering to Ministers

Encouraging you and your ministry

One of the Newton Foundation's favorite things is to pour into the lives of ministers and their workers. You invest every part of you into your people and sometimes don't have anything left over for yourself. Maybe you need a retreat with your staff at The Land. Maybe you feel like you have run out of ideas/can't reach people and want someone to come in and consult with you about your ministry.

Volunteer Training

Chances are a lot of your Sunday school teachers, youth workers, volunteers haven't been trained in youth ministry, and who can blame them? They aren't all pastors or have had years of experience. Have a day of training, where we come in and give them ideas, methods and encouragement so they can pour back into your group!
